Terms & Conditions:

Please note: The terms and conditions described below are to ensure safety, responsibility and protection of all staff, owners, and dogs. We reserve the right to adjust these as necessary at any time.

 

1. Booking:

​

  • Full payment must be obtained within 24 hours after booking, or your space will be released. This can be done through BACS, with details provided either via email if requested, or on the 'Payments' section of the website. 

​

  • Once payment has been received, a confirmation email will be sent to the provided email address detailing time, date, and location. Please remember to check your junk/spam folder! 

​

  • Further contact may be required if a potential issue with the booking has arisen. This is a standard operating procedure and will be carried out by Paws & Progress directly.

​

  • It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the information provided at time of booking is as true as possible, to ensure safety and wellbeing of all involved. It is also vital that any updates are notified to us as soon as possible in case any adjustments are needed.

​

  • We do NOT allow dogs that show aggression towards humans, or have a previous bite history unless discussed with Paws & Progress before time of booking. 

​

  • We do NOT run face-to-face group classes suitable for dogs that are extremely nervous or reactive towards people or dogs. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that their dog will be comfortable and relaxed in the environment. Any dogs not deemed suitable will be offered an alternative training option, or a full refund. 
     

  • We reserve the right to deny or cancel any booking that may cause physical, psychological, or other forms of harm to any staff member, owner, or dog that will be attending the booking.

2. Vaccinations and canine health:

​

  • By booking with Paws & Progress, owners should understand that their dog must be fully vaccinated before start date with evidence available if required, unless the service is to take place at the client's home residence. 
     

  • As with all public places, there is a risk of transferrable infections and diseases (e.g., kennel cough). Although strong hygiene precautions are put into place, Paws & Progress are not responsible for any unfortunate development of illness during/after sessions, and no claims against the business are to be made in this aspect. 
     

3. 1-2-1s:

​

  • Owners are to arrive promptly to their agreed venue (where applicable) to ensure an accurate start time. Any early arrivals are welcome to walk on any surrounding public greens but waste to be picked up at all times.

​

  • When attending any session with us, please ensure that you have all required equipment with you. This will be detailed in your confirmation email. 

​

  • All dogs must attend the session wearing a collar (with ID tag) and a flat lead. We also strongly encourage (non-tightening) harnesses for those that pull. Any aversive equipment such as slip leads, choke chains, prong collars etc. will not be permitted.  We reserve the right to politely ask any owners using these pieces to remove them whilst with Paws & Progress, in exchange for our approved equipment (to be returned at the end). 

​

  • Dogs are to be kept on lead (held by an owner over age the of 16) at all times. Please note, all dogs require at least one adult (18+) to be present in each session.

​

  • In the case of any dog or owner not coping within the learning environment, it may required to perform either an alteration of location or premature finish. Alternative arrangements will be made in the form of either a replacement 121 (in a different location or ran virtually) or a refund dependant upon deemed most appropriate by Paws & Progress. 

​

  • If you are unable to attend your 1-2-1 session, please contact us as soon as possible. In emergency/unavoidable situations we are more than happy to provide an alternative (down to staff discretion). 

​

  • In the case of extreme circumstances beyond staff control (e.g. heatwave/pandemic etc.), 1-2-1s may be re-arranged for another date, or held virtually via Zoom. This is for the welfare of all owners, animals, and staff. No refunds will be provided.

​

  • Any human incidents/injuries of any level (e.g., dog bite, fall, cut) must be reported to a member of staff immediately. A first aid kit will always be present on site. If required, local hospitals have been identified.

​

  • Canine injuries must also be reported without hesitation to a member of staff. If required, local veterinary centres have been identified.

​

4. Training Walks:

​

  • When preparing your dog for a training walk, please ensure you have the correct equipment available described in your confirmation email. This will include a regular flat lead and a collar with ID tag. 

​

  • In the case of any dog not coping with the learning environment, it may be required to perform either a change in location or a premature finish. Alternative arrangements will be made in the form of either a replacement session, or a refund dependant upon deemed most appropriate by Paws & Progress. 

​

  • If your dog is unable to attend a training walk, please contact us as soon as possible. In emergency situations, we are more than happy to provide an alternative (down to staff discretion). 

​

  • In the case of extreme circumstances beyond staff control (e.g. heatwave/pandemic etc.), 1-2-1s may be re-arranged for another date, or held virtually via Zoom. This is for the welfare of all owners, animals, and staff. No refunds will be provided.

5. Group Classes:

​

Any aversive equipment such as slip leads, choke chains, prong collars etc. will not be permitted.  We reserve the right to politely ask any owners using these pieces to remove them whilst with Paws & Progress, in exchange for our approved equipment (to be returned at the end).

​

  • In the case of extreme circumstances beyond staff control (e.g. heatwave/pandemic etc.), classes may be re-arranged for another date, or held virtually via Zoom. This is for the welfare of all owners, animals, and staff. No refunds will be provided.

​

6. Cancellations and refunds:

​

  • Any cancellation requests within 24hrs of payment are automatically eligible for a full refund unless the class start date has already passed. Beyond this point, no refunds are to be given. Please contact us directly via email to start this process. 

​

  • If any owner wishes to adjust their class start date, this can be done free of charge as long as at least 72 hours’ notice is provided.

​

  • Exceptions to the above are only to be made for unavoidable circumstances such as dog/owner illness. Appeals containing other reasons can be made to a member of staff and will be reviewed/considered fairly but, please note, this does not guarantee success. 

​

  • As detailed in Section 3, a full/partial refund may be provided if removal from any session is carried out by a member of staff. In this scenario, an alternative offer will always be prioritised for further support (if suitable).
